Atlanta Criminal Defense Lawyer
Attorney Cory E. Yager practices criminal defense law in the state of Georgia. His areas of focus are driving under the influence (DUI), vehicular homicide, and traffic violation cases, as well as probation and parole issues. In addition to these areas of law, Mr. Yager represents clients in civil litigation cases such as personal injury, product liability, vehicle accident, and medical malpractice.
Mr. Yager began his higher education at the State University of New York, where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He then went to John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, one of five accredited law schools in Georgia. An avid scholar, Mr. Yager had the second highest GPA in his graduating class.
Before he started law school, Mr. Yager was a police officer. He kept this full-time job while taking law classes. During his time as an officer, he worked for the City of Roswell Police Department and the Cobb County Police Department. As a police officer, Mr. Yager received special training in DUI Detection and Fatality Traffic Collision investigations.
As a law enforcement agent, Mr. Yager was involved with criminal, DUI, and traffic cases and often dealt with the lawyers from Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis, LLC. He was able to see first hand why the firm’s attorneys had a reputation for fighting for their clients’ rights in criminal and DUI cases.
Because of his respect for the firm and what it stands for, Mr. Yager turned down many other job offers to accept a position with Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis, LLC after he was admitted to the Georgia Bar.
Mr. Yager has been certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to teach law enforcement agents how to conduct field sobriety tests. This certification and his nine years as a police officer give him insight on police procedures, and this extensive knowledge is beneficial to his clients.
Mr. Yager is an associate at the law firm of Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis, LLC. The firm consistently receives the highest ratings from Martindale-Hubbell, the oldest and most respected lawyer rating service.
